"Michael Amundsen is a talented film director with great social vision"
Elart Coello, Executive Producer of Chihuahua the Movie and Lean like A Gangster
As a filmmaker, I am inspired by stories of faith, redemption and perseverance. Nature informs my identity and my work. It is my desire to tell stories that educate, elicit empathy, entertain and examine truths about the human experience.
For over thirty years, my work has been seen in theaters and on PBS and ESPN, while distributed globally in the United Kingdom, South America, Japan and Thailand. Domestically, my films are available on Amazon, Redbox, iTunes, Walmart, and Target. I have worked in post-production for Paramount, Universal, Fox, Warner Brothers, Disney, MGM and NBC. I have directed documentaries in Africa, Russia, Central America, Eastern and Western Europe, as well as a number of industrial and educational shorts.
I am also available for consultation on your film or screenplay.

HALVOR'S RADIO, my latest film, is winning awards in national film festivals. Set in 1918 Southeastern Montana, the film draws from my own immigrant heritage to tell a story of loss, hard choices and faith.
